Introducing Laura Gibbs

Announcing our first keynote speaker for OERxDomains21

We are delighted to announce our first keynote speaker for the OERxDomains Conference 2021. Laura Gibbs is our first speaker, who will be joined by a whole host of other speakers who will be announced in the coming weeks!

Laura has been teaching fully online Humanities courses at the University of Oklahoma since 2002. She’s taking early retirement at the end of Spring 2021 to focus her full-time attention on the Tiny Tales OER project. Find out more about her classes and about the Tiny Tales (free books!) at LauraGibbs.net. Laura hangs out on Twitter at @OnlineCrsLady and also @OnlineMythIndia.

Organised by the Association for Learning Technology and partnership with Reclaim Hosting’s Domains Conference, this special edition of the much loved event is the 12th annual conference for Open Education research, practice and policy. We are proud to incorporate a special strand hosted by the Domains Conference – bringing our two communities closer together in 2021.

To make this special edition of the event happen, we have a team of Co-Chairs: Heading up the Domains strand are Lauren (Brumfield) Hanks and Jim Groom and leading on the OER side are Lou Mycroft, Louise Drumm and Joe Wilson.

Earlybird Registration for the Conference is open now at just £99.00 for members, and full registration includes:

  • Pre-conference orientation & networking sessions
